For 44 years Fino Gior has researched the Permanent Hair Removal Industry. During that time he has become a Consumer Advocate fighting for the welfare of the inquiring patient. His professional ability as a full time electrologist is well established all over the world. He received the highest and most prestigious honor in the profession, November 1985, the Charles E. Michel, M.D., Award, by the International Guild of Professional Electrologists.
He has fought in Federal Court, as a FDA*, Medical Division and FTC** consultant, for the consumer especially, the victimized female and the unaware male patient, protecting them from false advertising and helping them interpret manipulative language in the media.
He has appeared on behalf of his profession with Regis Philbin on ABC TV 3 times, USA Network's, "Alive and Well", and WMCA Radio's. "Candy Jones Show. "
Mr. Gior has also been quoted by, The New York Times, Prevention, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Vogue, Modern Bride, Redbook, and Cosmopolitan. Both Dear Abby and Ann Landers has mentioned Mr. Gior in their columns. He is also listed in Who's Who in America. The trade magazine, International Hair Route, referred to him as the "beloved colleague" and Aesthetic World, magazine has called him the "Father of Electrolysis" and most call him "Mr. Electrolysis." He was past president of the New York State Electrology Association, Board Member of the AEA***, and IGPE President and founder for eight years.
He is also the author of the most comprehensive book on Permanent Hair Removal, Modern Electrology, edition 2000. The book was written for anyone to comprehend easily. He has also written the first Standards for the Permanent Hair Removal Industry, revised in 2001 with Paul Kechijion, M.D., Dermatology Consultant, and copyrights 8/15/95.
